picked up m early and we made a day of it. she is now reading in bed and about to crash.

went to the zoo, then to the tire place to get my tire fixed. while they were working on it, walked with m to the main branch to the library and got her a library card (and six books).

it's now the afternoon and we're just chilling. which means she's watching tv while i put away laundry. it's a beautiful day, i'm sure we'll end up back out there before long.

woke up with a sore throat today. it was actually in the 40s overnight. i'm going to reread this post in july and wistfully remember actually being "cold" in the morning. made some hot tea.

kiddo comes back today. she spent the night with the ex. they're going to the farmer's market and crawfish festival today. i woke up a bunch overnight, but i'm okay so far. played some xbox, made some more soup, went running, considering doing some lifting.

alright, kiddo came back an hour early, chilled, went to her friend's birthday party at pump-it-up, ran into a HS classmate there, he has four daughters, as does the father of the little girl celebrating her birthday. i'll probably never see him again. he didn't recognize me (big surprise). anyway, i finally got kiddo out of there and we're now back at the house and she's having some dinner. i'm going to go lift and try to keep my mind off, well, everything.

i'm going to the cemetery tomorrow morning after church to pay my respects to my grandparents and a few others.

lifting never happened, fuckit.

bone spur worked itself out of my gum this afternoon, oddly enough while dancing on xbox with my kid. it was in the spot where my wisdom tooth was extracted, except on the side of my gum. it hurt like a sonofabitch coming out but once it was out, everything was cool. m suggested i put it under my pillow for the tooth fairy. i laughed for a good solid minute or two on that.

she had fish sticks and veggies and vitamins. yeah i'm good.

we bathed the dog, and now it's time for a little tv.
